ACTOR | SINGER | DANCER | EDUCATOR

Alexandra Fleshman, a fiery yet free spirit from Virginia Beach, is an emerging artist committed to doing all the good she can, on and off the stage. As an advocate, Alexandra strives to inspire empathy, equality, and goodwill. While primarily focused on performing, she is also incredibly passionate about teaching the future of tomorrow to find their unique voice through her favorite thing – the theatre. For years she has instructed musical theatre focused classes at the Hurrah Players in Norfolk, VA - the first theatre she called home - and has since grown to have multiple students taking private lessons. Some of Alexandra’s recent roles include Georgie Bukatinsky in The Full Monty with Virginia Musical Theatre, Maureen in Celtic Fyre at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and A/Alexandra in the premier of Love and other Destinations with Zeiders American Dream Theater.

Hi there - Alex here!!

Hope you're finding your way around just fine.. :) So... I take if you're reading this because you're curious to know a little more about me, yes? Well - first things first - lil ol' baby me never would have thought I'd be here pursuing a career in the theatre! I, for sure, thought I'd be living my Catherine Zeta Jones  "No Reservations" fantasy, going to the produce market at 4:00am and then fighting with a guest about their steak being the perfect temperature that evening. Of course, I didn't realize, at the time, that a life in the arts is an option. All I knew was I needed to be the next Food Network Star! Now, while my plans have changed, I'm still renowned as the semi-homade aficionado in the 757. ;)

In addition to my obsession with all things culinary, I've also been equally enamoured by all things nature ever since I was a wee tike. One of my most cherished memories is our family camping trip to Crab Tree Falls for Thanksgiving. We made an entire Thanksgiving spread on a campfire! I caught my first fish and saw my first waterfall on that trip... Even though I was barely four, I'll never forget it. Those treasured memories of dirty fingernails and picking leaves out of my hair are my motivation to ensure we take care of this extraordinary planet. I pray that we can leave it better than we found it. Not only environmentally, but also socially.

So, if you got this far... maybe spread a little extra love today? Pick up some litter, donate to a homeless shelter, write to your representatives demanding justice, or maybe do something nice for yourself so you can show up for others tomorrow. Whatever you choose to do today, repeat after me - "I got this!"

All my love,

Alexandra Fleshman

P.S. Maybe I can make you dinner sometime?
